Since OPF Summit 2015, partners have released multiple CAPI developer kits and provided worldwide access. With that, engineers and programmers have created dozens of CAPI acceleration engines and are driving high performance solutions to the marketplace. This talk will highlight the exciting new solutions and demonstrations developed in the last year. Innovations abound in the areas of Machine Learning, Security, Video Analytics, Genomics, Big Data, and Image Processing.
Bruce Wile is currently is chief engineer of Power Systems CAPI. He was named an IBM Distinguished Engineer in 2005. Over his 30 year career at IBM, Mr. Wile led the development and verification of many IBM zSeries and pSeries chip sets. His expertise is in functional verification, where he started his career in 1985 after graduating from the Pennsylvania State University. He is the co-author of the industry’s leading textbook on functional verification, “Comprehensive Functional Verification: The complete Industry Cycle.” Throughout his verification career, he has held both team lead and management positions. Mr. Wile has several patents and published papers. In 2015, Bruce was named an Outstanding Engineering Alumni by Penn State. He is passionately involved with engineering, science, and math educational efforts, working with all levels of secondary schools as well as universities.
